50 years of history

Plastiques Gagnon’s origins can be traced back to a family of entrepreneurs. For 50 years, three generations of Gagnons have succeeded each other at the helm of the family business. Founded by Joseph Gagnon, then led by his son Jean-Marie, the company continues to go from strength to strength under the leadership of François, Jean, and Monika, who are carrying on the work started by their father and grandfather.

The 1990s brought about a sea change as the company shifted its focus to molding technical components, using sophisticated techniques like overmolding. A strong, dynamic team ensures success, and state-of-the-art equipment and improved procedures are the fruits of collaboration between various work groups. This leadership is the company’s lifeblood, and it promises a bright future ahead.

Plastiques Gagnon started out molding conventional parts, but moved on to provide specialized services. Over time, the company developed specific niches in the industrial sector and component assembly.

In the years ahead, the challenge for Plastiques Gagnon will be to continue optimizing injection molding techniques in order to develop custom-made technical components from high yield technopolymers for complex assemblies used by industrial manufacturers in the northeastern United States and Canada.
